Welcome to Madrid
The Prosperidad Market came about in 1954 in Calle López de Hoyos. Following a complete refurbishment in 2015, it is beginning a new era in which it is committed to traditional shops devoted to the sale of diverse foods, it also offers an interesting culinary, leisure and cultural proposal.
The Market is divided into two floors. The first floor is devoted to stalls selling meat, fruit, vegetables, bread, fish, chicken, dairy products, health food and frozen products, among others. It also boasts a tasting area where various gastronomic stalls with cuisine of the world offer traditional and modern dishes, prepared with ingredients from the market.
There is a supermarket on the second floor.
Throughout the year, the Market organises all kinds of leisure and cultural events. It also has a home delivery service and Wi-Fi throughout the market.
There are several commercial establishments and services outside, including a branch of the popular San Ginés chocolate shop, where you can sample a good chocolate with churros.
