"Made in Italy" design and continuous innovation and experimentation with new materials is what Kartell offers, a store created in 1949 by chemist Giulio Castelli to fill homes with colour and style. In the 1980’s prestigious designer Philippe Starck –the master of polycarbonate- joined the label, followed by other contemporary icons like Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola, Castelli Ferrieri, Patrick Jouin or Ron Arad.

Plastic is the star of all their proposals, always original and avant-garde, filled with colour and revolutionary lines. Many of their products are considered true works of art in decoration, like Dr. Glob, Louis Ghost, La Marie, Bubble Club, Bourgie, etc. In fact, many of their more classic collections are on display at the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York or the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris. The latest trends by Katrell can also be seen in Madrid: their store is located on calle Claudio Coello, in a modern 250-square-metre space distributed in several floors, divided, at the same time, into themes and functional spaces, like living-room, dining-room or office.
