Welcome to Madrid
Since it was opened in 1991, Guillermo de Osma Gallery has held dozens of exhibitions dedicated to modern and contemporary art, focussing on European and Latin American historical avant-garde.
Its purpose as a gallery is not so much to seek fashionable artists as to research figures from the past, revive them and position them, such as the work of photographer José Alemany and Francisco Sobrino.
Included among the artists whose works have passed through this space are Rafael Alberti, Eduardo Chillida, Maruja Mallo and José Guerrero. The gallery always publishes a catalogue to accompany each exhibition.
The gallery maintains close contact with museums and foundations, for whom it also commissions exhibitions. It also takes part in the main contemporary art fairs, like Art Basel Miami Beach, FIAC Paris and ARCO Madrid.
