Ivorypress
Information
The premium publishing house founded by Elena Ochoa in 1996 owns these premises in Madrid where, at present, it develops its international activity related to contemporary art in the areas of exhibition curation, exhibition spaces, specialist bookshops, contemporary art consultancy, publishing projects, audiovisual production, and educational programmes.
Elena Ochoa’s husband, Norman Foster himself designed the venue positioned just a few metres off the Paseo de la Castellana, very close to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The site, a former printing press and garage has been converted into a designer space where white and open spaces are the dominant features.
Here you will discover rare books, limited editions, catalogues withdrawn from circulation and an unusual selection of photography, art, architecture and design books. The bookshop stocks works from all over the world, with a special emphasis on Asian countries and all of the Ivorypress publications.
