Welcome to Madrid
It is located in the most important art circuit in the city, next to the streets with the main art galleries and close to the National Library, the Palacio de Congresos or the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofía Museums.
The centre has four cultural spaces: the Guirau Hall, the Jardiel Poncela Hall, an Exhibition Hall and a Multi-purpose Hall. Its program of events includes theater, dance, music, children's shows and exhibitions, as well as talks, conferences and other activities.
With a total capacity of 689 people, the Sala Guirau is the auditorium reserved for big plays, dance and music series and children’s productions.
Sala Jardiel Poncela is a smaller venue with room for all the performing arts: music, dance and theatre for adults and young children as well as conferences, debates, conferences and workshops.
Its 2,000-square-metre exhibition hall is dedicated to temporary shows, mainly of a historical and educational nature. In recent years, however, an attempt has been made to do more exhibitions related to the performing arts.
