Church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles
Information
This church located in the Chamberí neighborhood, built in the French Gothic style was opened on July 31st in 1892. The beige façade has a bell tower on the top central part. The interior holds a chapel dedicated to the founder of Opus Dei, José María Escrivá de Balaguer.
The temple, work of Enrique María Repulles y Vargas, has a single nave with eight side chapels and a transept, in which the beautiful windows stand out. Its organ, which dates back to 1761, is considered to be a Cultural Object of the Community of Madrid. The instrument, whose casing is in the Andalusian baroque style, is from a convent in Granada.
