Welcome to Madrid

The Real Colegio de Farmacia (Royal College of Pharmacy) building was designed by the architect from Alava, Pedro de Zengotita Vengoa, in the 19th century. It was used first as a College and later as a Pharmacy Faculty, until the construction of the new building at Ciudad Universitaria in Madrid. Today, it is the headquarters if the Royal Academy of Pharmacy.

Located in Chueca, the building is Neo-classic in style. After its construction, the triangular pediment on the central cornice and the second entrance door were added.  In 1997, it was declared a Monument of Cultural Interest. Since 1994, the building has housed the Museum of the National Royal Academy of Pharmacy, which dates back to the 19th century. This property is also home to the Library of the academic institution.
