Plaza de la Lealtad Gardens

    Information

This is a small garden that generally goes unnoticed due to the buildings that surround it: the Bolsa and the Hotel Ritz, as well as being situated in the middle of Salón del Prado. The Garden is a real plant masterpiece next to the Paseo del Prado.

Although it occupies a small space, it accommodates a multitude of perfectly groomed species. In the centre, fenced in, is the monument of Caídos o Héroes del 2 de Mayo de 1808 (the Heroes of May 2nd, 1808), with its flame always lit. Looming in this plaza are a large saccharine maple tree, an eye-catching strawberry tree, the oldest in Madrid, and a cornelian cherry tree that is 29½ feet high.
