Welcome to Madrid

This restaurant, which serves light haute cuisine known as kaiseki, is located in the traditional Chamberí neighbourhood and is the fourth restaurant of the prestigious Japanese chef, Masahito Okazoe, the first that he has opened in Europe.

Izariya is a small establishment which offers a type of Japanese cuisine that is still largely unknown in Spain, known as kaiseki, which offers light seasonal dishes produced using highly-skilled culinary techniques and extremely precise presentation. The restaurant serves specialities such as clear scallop and vegetable soup, sea bream in turnip and chive sauce and beef with a poached quail’s egg. In addition to several menus which change according to the raw materials which are purchased each day at the market, the menu features an extensive variety of sakes from 17 different producers in Kochi, Masahito Okazoe’s home town.
