Welcome to Madrid
Occupying a former record shop in the Literary Quarter, Matute 12 has divided its 400 square metres into three quite different sections. The first is a restaurant area with 10 tables, serving mainly American, Arabic and Iberian dishes. The second is a less formal bar with sofas, where customers can have a drink or snack, and the third is a secret crypt, "Le Cabine", for those who want something more exclusive.
A new approach to leisure with food available at any time of day or night, plus Sunday brunch, which includes hamburgers made with various types of bread. There is a spacious outdoor terrace and the atmosphere is predominantly modern. It is popular with actors, as TV star Nacho Fresneda is one of the partners.
