The only thing that differentiates this vegetarian restaurant from any other restaurant is that there is no meat on the menu. In all other aspects, this is not your stereotypical vegetarian establishment. Housed in an old tavern, here you can find a wide range of well-prepared and tasty vegetarian dishes.

For starters you can try a rice salad or vichyssoise. To follow we recommend the tricolour pie or the crêpes à la mousseline. These light and crispy crêpes, stuffed with vegetables and raisins and covered with mayonnaise and a scattering of sesame seeds, are prepared together with a side dish of battered aubergine drizzled with fresh lemon juice. For dessert, the chocolate cake is delicious and is well worth trying. Another thing worth doing is to grab a table on the top floor and enjoy the magnificent views over Plaza de la Paja, right in the heart of Hapsburg Madrid.
