Lole Montoya

    The singer, dancer, and songwriter is giving a concert in Madrid, performing all the greatest hits from her extensive career. It will take place on 9 May at Teatro Alcázar, where she will perform songs from her repertoire, including her latest singles such as Historia de Amor.

    Dolores Montoya Rodríguez, better known as Lole Montoya, was born into a Gitano family in the Triana neighbourhood. Her parents are dancers Juan Montoya and singer and dancer Antonia Rodríguez "La Negra".

    Lole Montoya began her musical career as one half of the duo Lole y Manuel with her partner Manuel Molina Jiménez. Together they performed for over two decades, and released records such as Romero Verde and Nuevo Día. In 1989, she embarked on her solo career, and today she continues to perform at major theatres.
