Right in the heart of Madrid, close to Plaza de la Ópera, Entre Suspiro y Suspiro offers traditional Mexican cuisine with some innovative touches.

As a true Mexican would, here they afford tequila the importance is deserves. Its tequila bar is reported to be the best in Europe. The restaurant opened its doors in 1993 with the aim of popularising the best Mexican food, serving authentic cuisine, steering well away from fajitas and burritos to prove that Aztec cuisine is far more varied and delicious than the tourists have appreciated.

As far as the décor goes, they have also shunned the typical strident colours, and have focused on creating a romantic atmosphere, filled with exotic plants. On the walls hang paintings by young Mexican artists, and display cabinets exhibit tequila bottles from their magnificent collection, in a huge variety of shapes, brands and colours.
