Men's Ice Hockey World Championships 2023 - Division IIA
Information
The Ice Rink at the Madrid Ice Palace will host the Division IIA matches of the 2023 men’s ice-hockey world championships from 16 to 22 April, in which the teams from Spain, Australia, Croatia, Israel, Iceland and Georgia will be playing against each other. The winning national side will be promoted to Division I Group B and the losing side will be relegated to Division II Group B.
This event marks the 100th anniversary of Spain joining the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF); a historic anniversary for national ice hockey. The IIHF admitted Spain as a member country at its tenth Annual Congress, on 10 March 1923.
