    Information

Stjepan Hauser, known as “the bad boy” of classical music and founding member of 2Cellos, announces his much anticipated, first-ever solo world solo tour, Rebel with a Cello. The tour will include a stop off at the WiZink Center on 11 October 2023.

Stjepan Hauser, born in 1986, is a Croatian violoncellist who began his musical training in his native Pula. As a result of his musical roots, he studied in Rijeka, completing his postgraduate studies with Ralph Kirshbaum in Manchester and, ending up in the United States, where he was taught by the American violoncellist, Bernard Greenhouse.

Thanks to his impeccable training, the artist has performed in the leading theatres of Europe as a soloist and as part of an orchestra.  His debuts were in prestigious halls, such as Wigmore Hall in London, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, among others. He has also been awarded numerous prizes, receiving an honour from Prince Charles of Wales.

In 2011, he founded the duo of violoncellists, 2Cellos, with his friend, Luka Šulić. Their skill impressed Elton John, who invited them to join his band on his last world tour in 2011. Now the musician is embarking on his first solo tour in which he will be performing a musical show full of his characteristic fireworks, innovative sounds and romantic and moving that will not leave the audience feeling indifferent.
