Welcome to Madrid
The prestigious German composer, Hans Zimmer, will go on a European tour in spring 2023. On 16 May, he will be stopping off at the WiZink Center following the success of his previous tour, which was attended by almost 60,000 people, although this will be the first time that the reputed author of film soundtracks, such as Gladiator or The Lion King, can be seen in Spain.
The artist, born in Germany in 1975, has become one of the most prestigious soundtrack composers, who is characterised by the integration of electronic music and symphonic-orchestral arrangements. Some of his many film awards include Golden Globes, BAFTA, Emmy, Saturn, Grammy, as well as two Oscars for his work on The Lion King (1994) and Dune (2021). He has been nominated for an Oscar on another ten occasions since 1988, with Rain Man.
On this latest tour, the artist will perform the best of his repertoire on stage, accompanied by his band, made up of 19 musicians and the Odessa Orchestra & Friends. This concert suite, which has been prepared over fifteen months, aims to offer his fans an absolutely unique live experience, in which fragments of the soundtracks from Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight and Inception can be heard, among others.
