Welcome to Madrid

Alternative rock group The Afghan Whigs will be performing at Teatro Barceló on 22 October. Five years after their last visit, the American band will be coming to Madrid to present their new album How do you burn?  This record features tracks such as The Getaway, Catch A Colt and Concealer.

The alternative rock band from Cincinnati (USA) is considered one of the best groups from the 1990s. Their style is classified as alternative rock, but it also features some soulful elements. They have nine albums to date and a long list of singles. They made their début with Big Top Halloween, released in 1988, which led to their first tour of the United States. They followed up this album with others including Up in It, Congregation and Black Love.

The album they are presenting now, How do you burn?, features nine songs. At this concert, which brings them back to Madrid after a five-year absence, they will also be performing tracks from throughout their career.

The album was released on 9 September 2022, and the reviews so far have been good. Music magazines such as Exilesh Magazine have called this new album outstanding,  showing how well received the rock band’s work has been.
