Welcome to Madrid

La Casa Encendida presents a new review of the last ten years of the artist’s creative work by a contemporary artist from 19 May to 17 September 2023, to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso in 2023.

This exhibition is understood as a reappropriation of his own work and presented through the eyes of a contemporary artist as a synthesis, a testament and possibilities for the future.

The 8 April 2023 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the artist’s death. This event will commemorate his work and his artistic heritage in France, Spain and globally with a programme of international scope.

La Casa Encendida, contemporary cultural centre, joins this project with an exhibition that fulfils its objective of disseminating contemporary culture.
