Welcome to Madrid
Luxury oriental food has landed in Madrid; we no longer have to limit our palates to spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken. What’s now in fashion is Dim Sum, the specialty of this pan-Asiatic restaurant which has finally reopened after being temporarily closed. Dim Sum is a thousand-year-old dish rapidly making a name for itself in various restaurants around the city. A type of pasty with a surprising taste and extraordinary appearance, it is served in a bamboo box and eaten with chopsticks. Both the dough and filling can be prepared in a myriad of ways making it a bite-sized snack of endless possibilities. Due to its similarity with "picoteo" (little nibbles shared with friends) it is very popular among Spaniards. The restaurant boasts an exclusive clientele, including renowned actors, singers and, occasionally, a member or two of the royal family. Shiny red cloths fill the room whose avant-garde décor is truly in tune with the customers. Pure Asian luxury.
