Welcome to Madrid

The indie rock band led by Win Butler and Régine Chassagne are embarking on a new world concert tour to present their sixth studio album, WE, released in 2022. The “WE” Tour will be coming to the WiZink Center on 21 September, playing familiar tracks from their latest album such as The Lightning I, II and Unconditional I (Lookout Kid).

Arcade Fire got together in 2001 in Montreal, founded by friends and classmates Win Butler and Josh Deu. But it was not until 2004 that the band leapt to fame with the release of their début album, Funeral,  winning the band major awards including a Grammy for Album of the Year.

Their style combines indie rock with more contemporary pop and is distinguished by the number of instruments used in their compositions, including guitars, drums, bass, pianos, violins, violas, cello, double bass, xylophones, accordions, and harps. The band members even swap over instruments during their live gigs.

They released their fourth album, Reflektor, in 2013, the same year the band wrote the soundtrack for the film Her, which earned William Butler and Owen Pallett a nomination at the 2013 Academy Awards in the category of Best Soundtrack.

They are now back on stage with a world tour to present their sixth studio album, WE, which was released on 6 May 2022 with Columbia Records. At the concerts scheduled in Europe, Canadian singer-songwriter Feist will be appearing as the band’s special guest.
