Welcome to Madrid
The British indie pop-rock band will visit the WiZink Center on 30 November as part of their new tour, performing tracks from Give Me The Future. Their fourth studio album is full of references to science fiction movies and literature, video games and virtual reality, exploring a country of futuristic wonders, free from all restrictions.
The group fronted by vocalist Dan Smith has performed more than 500 concerts worldwide and has sold 15 million singles and 6 million albums. Their first studio album, Bad Blood, was released in 2013 and was a hit, topping the UK charts and selling more than 4 million copies. It featured Pompeii, one of the indie anthems of recent years.
Now they are embarking on a new tour to present their fourth record, Give Me The Future (2022). Each track offers a different danceable dream landscape, a place where you can travel back and forth in time, allowing the listener to get lost in their imagination. Bastille is about to celebrate 10 years since the release of their first record in 2013 and their unique melancholic pop sound that has connected with global audiences like no other British band in recent years.
The band was nominated for four Brit Awards in 2014 and won Best New British Artist. The four-piece band, known in the UK for their live concerts, has performed at major indie music festivals, including Madrid's DCODE, showcasing their energetic live gigs. The band is named after the French National Holiday, on 14 July, which marks the storming of the Bastille in the French Revolution. This day also coincides with singer Dan Smith's birthday.
