Welcome to Madrid

Opened in 1966, La Trainera is another one of the temples for fish and seafood in Madrid. Not in vain, the restaurant is under the guidance of Miguel García, who has worked with these products since his youth and currently owns the prestigious restaurant Los Remos en El Plantío (Madrid) and a stand in Mercamadrid.

Located on the exclusive calle Lagasca in the Salamanca neighbourhood, the establishment maintains its typical coastal decor with numerous portholes and varnished tables without tablecloths. On them they serve, amongst other recipes, the house’s suggestions: Crabmeat in scallop shell, American-style lobster, tuna with onion and peppers, seafood soup, Trainera-style mussels, Marinera-style hake and the traditional Santiago cake for dessert. The cured loin of pork and Jabugo ham are the only exceptions for meat-lovers.
