Its market cuisine, with Cantabrian features and prepared with fresh ingredients, required the small but great Taberna Laredo to move from its original location on calle Doctor Esquerdo to a larger space in its present establishment on Doctor Castelo.

There is a large bar where they serve delicious tapas and dishes, from Iberian ham to croquettes and salmorejo. In the dining room, making a reservation is recommended since their dishes are very popular, such as the risotto with season’s mushrooms and foie-gras, their grilled seafood –especially the white shrimp-, the hake cheeks in Pil-pil sauce or the sirloin in a foie-gras and “oloroso” sherry wine sauce, as well as the daily suggestions.

But the one thing that makes Taberna Laredo a cult spot is its wine cellar, with 250 references with the best author’s wines as well as classics, novelties and rarities from every Designation of Origin. Furthermore, up to 20 wines can be tasted by the glass, since they change periodically.
