Welcome to Madrid
Its name already defines the absolute star of its cuisine: the tasty, traditional and incomparable Spanish potato omelette, which is still prepared in this establishment in the same way that made it famous at La Ancha on calle Velázquez in the 60’s. For its good value for money, it has been named a Bib Gourmand restaurant by the Michelin Guide.
In fact, on the menu it is called Velazqueña, although it is accompanied by six other varieties: Torta del Casar cheese omelette, potato omelette with Galician-style octopus, baby squid ink omelette, potato chip omelette with salmorejo, traditional stew omelette with tripe, and truffle infused omelette.
But as well as omelettes, the menu also includes all kinds of starters, salads and vegetables – like warm foie gras bonbons, Iberian ham croquettes, and crispy octopus. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s nothing better than rounding off your meal with the brie cheese flan or the delicate apple tarte.
It has seasonal menus for groups.
