Welcome to Madrid

The typical Madrilenian tavern from the late 19th century which still recalls that time through its decoration: wood, mirrors on the walls and marble bar and tables. This place is mainly famous due to two of their offers: delicious freshly-made churros with hot chocolate or coffee for breakfast, and excellent ham croquettes -their specialty- for tapas.

Some other suggestions you can taste are stuffed baby squid in its ink, Biscay-style cod, stewed tongue, Madrilenian tripe, stewed quail, garlic shrimp, Spanish omelette, Madrilenian stew (prior order only)... It is easy to bump into cinema and theater celebrities or opera and zarzuela singers because of its proximity to the Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Círculo de Bellas Artes. It is also common to meet politicians because of the nearness to the Congreso de los Diputados.
