Las Cuevas de Sandó

    Information

This bar is set in original 16th-century cellars, which formed part of a building occupied by the Spanish Inquisition. They’ve now been remodelled as a cocktail bar, in an urban, cosmopolitan, chic setting.

The first thing that attracts your attention is the décor, with a glass floor that changes colour, due to fibre optics, and which makes this a unique bar in Madrid. The star cocktail here is the flower-petal mojito. The menu, which also includes food, like hamburgers, sandwiches and salads, has 17 premium gin brands. Great importance is placed on the music, to ensure an ambience of peaceful conversation on the weekends or after work. Generally speaking, this is a chill-out bar, but you can also find jazz and the beats of a live DJ.
