The Canadian artist, The Weeknd, is comng to the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium on 18 July 2023 as part of the prolongation of his After Hours til Dawn Tour in which he will present his latest studio album, Dawn FM, released in 2022. This album is the continuation of his fourth album, After Hours (2020), one of the  most important of his career, which includes songs like Blinding Lights, Heartless and After Hours.

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known by the artistic name, The Weeknd, is a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer who started to become known at the end of 2010 when he released several songs anonymously on the YouTube platform.

Throughout 2011, he released three mixtapes by the names of House of BalloonsThursday and Echoes of Silence, which were acclaimed by critics, but it was not until 2013 when he released his first studio album, Kiss Land. This album went into the United States Billboard 200 chart at number two, selling more than 96,000 copies.

In 2015, he released the album, Beauty Behind The Madness, which included songs like Can't Feel My Face or Earned It, which went on to become big hits. The single, Earned It, was included as the main theme of the soundtrack for the film, Fifty Shades of Grey,  which later won him an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category.

Starboy (2016) was the title of his third album, which included the collaboration of great artists like Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Future and Kendrick Lamar, including hits like Starboy and I Feel It Coming. After Hours  was released in 2020, with new wave and dream pop influences.  It includes songs like Blinding Lights, Heartless, In Your Eyes, Save Your Tears and Scared to Live, written by the renowned singer, Elton John.

Throughout his career, he has obtained several awards, such as three Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards and nine Juno Awards. Now, he is embarking on another tour to present his fifth album,  Dawn FM (2022) which includes special appearances by Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne and Jim Carrey. It is an album produced mainly by The Weeknd, with the collaboration of Max Martin, Oscar Holter, Quincy Jones and Oneohtrix Point Never, among others. Presentation singles include Take My Breath, Sacrifice and Out of Time.
