Welcome to Madrid
19 years after it was premiered, this show inspired by the songs of Queen returns to the stage. It is a performance that has been co-produced by the band members: Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Its story places the audience in a dystopian future in which individuality is pursued. Killer Queen is responsible for an authoritarian society in which music and any other form of artistic creation is forbidden.
In light of the social and artistic repression that existed, only a few rebels dared challenge the government, whilst anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Dreamer, Galileo, a leader who will enable music to return through rock and will re-establish freedom.
The performance includes all of the British group’s greatest hits, such as We Are the Champions, I Want to Break Free, Somebody to Love, I Want It All, Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody or We Will Rock You.
Queen is one of the most famous groups ever, having been voted the best British band of all times in various questionnaires. Furthermore, the production presents the choreography and costumes that are identical to each moment of Freddy Mercury and his band’s glory.
This group, which got together in London in 1970, has 15 studio albums, seven live albums and several compilations under its belt. It is one of the most prestigious groups of all times and one of the most important in the musical history of the United Kingdom.
