Welcome to Madrid

Since he debuted in style with the soundtrack of Emir Kusturica's Time of the Gipsies, Goran Bregović has become an icon and the best audiences around the world have witnessed his explosive performances. Now he returns to Spain after his visit two years ago where he presented his album Three Letters From Sarajevo, an album that synthesizes the different folkloric forms of Eastern Europe.

Goran Bregović (Sarajevo, Bosnia, 1950) has his own style and a unique musical language that make him an artist with a special charisma, latent in his work Three Letters From Sarajevo.

The union of the violin music of different Christian artists, Jews and followers of Islam and the different voices, accompanied by the electrifying prism imposed by the conductor with his guitar and arrangements, reflect the best of the traditional Balkan sounds.

The composer is also known for the numerous soundtracks he has composed for films such as Time of the Gypsies, Toxic Affair, Arizona Dream, La Reine Margot, Underground and A Chef in Love, among others.

Thus, his music becomes as intense and explosive as the situation that has always been experienced in the Balkans: compositions inspired by the wildest and liveliest Balkan folklore, which he knows how to endow with a contemporary perspective, undoubtedly the fruit of his past as a member of one of the most famous Yugoslavian rock groups.
