    Information

The artist that is all the rage has announced her first worldwide tour, Motomami World Tour, which will include two dates in Madrid, scheduled for 19 and 20 July at the WiZink Center. The winner of eight Latin Grammy Awards and one Grammy Award will present the songs on her latest album, Motomami, which include La fama or Chicken Teriyaki, as well as performing her well known hits.

The singer and songwriter from Catalonia, Rosalía, has revolutionised the music scene as the Spanish artist who has won the most awards from the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for a single album, obtaining eight Latin Grammy Awards and one Grammy Award in 2020 for the Best Alternative or Latin Rock Album, as well as being the first person ever to be nominated for the Grammy for the Best New Artist for a debut album in Spanish.  She has also participated in major festivals worldwide, such as Coachella, Primavera Sound, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza, among others.

The innovative fusion of classic flamenco with R&B and electronic rhythms, along with the artist’s nod to the performing arts, has led the artist from Catalonia to become one of the leading artists on the international music scene.  Her international fame came with the release of her second album, El Mal Querer (2018). Her first single, Malamente, was nominated for a Latin Grammy in five categories, winning two awards for Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Alternative Song. This song was followed by other hits like Pienso en tu mirá, a portrait of gender violence, Di mi nombre and Bagdad.

She is enjoying a musical career in which she cannot stop releasing hits and her collaboration with the Colombian reggaeton and Latin pop singer, J Balvin, in Con altura. It is a song that is considered to be an international reference in Hispanic music by the American newspaper, The New York Times, and winner in two categories for Best Latin Video and Best Choreography at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.

Following an intense creative process of three years, the artist has now announced her first world tour to present her third studio album, Motomami, released in March 2022. It is an album that seeks to move away from the previous conventional lines that define different cultures, genders and gender roles, providing a self-portrait of modern and deeply personal musical duality.

It is an album that has already been received with great acclaim by the specialised press, considered to be one of the most ambitious of the decade, and which went in at Number One on the Spotify global album chart, an unprecedented achievement for a Spanish artist.  Among the new songs, La fama, the first single on the album inspired by a bachata, Hentai and Chicken Teriyaki, stand out, as well as collaborations with international artists like The Weeknd from Canada, Pharrell Williams from the USA or Tokischa from the Dominican Republic.
