Argentine singer-songwriter Diego Torres visits Spain to offer a concert in Madrid with all his great successes from his more than 30 years of career and his new singles, such as Un poquito or Esa mujer.
Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1971, Diego Torres is a Latin pop musician with eight studio albums, two compilations and one live album. His great songs include Tratar de estar mejor, Penélope, Alba, La última noche and Color esperanza.. During his career he has sold around 20 million copies and has been awarded ten Gardel Awards, three Latin Grammy Awards and three MTV Latin America awards, among other distinctions.
The son of Argentine singer and actress Lolita Torres, Diego grew up surrounded by musicians and artists. When he was just a teenager, he formed his first band, La Marca, and started out as an actor on his country's television. Between 1991 and 1993 he starred in the telecomedy La banda del Golden Rocket and in 1993 he released his debut album by the same name.
Little by little his popularity grew until he participated in six films, among them La furia, La venganza and Extraños en la noche. Together, he continued his career as a singer performing throughout America and Europe and collaborating with other authors such as Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Alejandro Fernández or Paulina Rubio.
He was also appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2010, inviting the people of Haiti to come to their aid after the 2010 earthquake. Also in 2016, he was the Latin American spokesperson for the HeForShe campaign that promotes equality promoted by UN Women.
