    La Ritirata will be present in the new season of Teatro de la Zarzuela, as part of the ‘Notas del ambigú’ programme. Led by Josetxu Obregón, Josep Maria Martí (baroque guitar and theorbo) and Tamar Lalo (recorder) will play selected pieces by composers Bartolomé de Selma, Santiago de Murcia, Diego Ortiz, Antonio de Santa Cruz and Gaspar Sanz, among others.

    La Ritirata is a historically-informed performance ensemble specialising in baroque, classical and early romantic music. They bring their music to festivals and concert halls in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. They’ve offered over 200 performances so far.

    Josetxu Obregón, founder and director of La Ritirata, is a brilliant cellist. The recipient of more than a dozen Spanish and international awards, he travels the world to show his music: China, Japan, Mexico, Peru, more than 18 European countries, and iconic venues like New York’s Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Opera City, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall and Beijing’s National Grand Theatre.

    For this concert, Obregón will come on stage with guitar virtuoso Josep Maria Martí (theorbo, lute, baroque guitar) and Israeli recorder player Tamar Lalo.

    There are mechanic installations for persons with reduced mobility from the street to the lobby and from there to the seating area and also a completely adapted direct ramp access at the front right side of the theater.  There is also an adapted toilet at the ground floor.
The building also has a completely adapted elevator that connects all the floors of the theater.
