Sebastián Yatra has succeeded in creating new musical borders, ranging from urban pop to the romantic ballad. The artist has been at the top of the charts in the United States, Spain and Latin America and has been nominated three times for a Latin Grammy and for an Oscar for the Best Original Song. He is now back with a solo tour, Dharma Tour, on which he will visit the WiZink Center on 29 June.
His single, Traicionera, reached the Spotify’s Top 100 Global, thanks to which he became known as an upcoming international artist. His debut album, Mantra, was the most listened to in Colombia in 2018 and was in the Top 10 in Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Chile. The artist boasts the characteristic musical signature, “Yatra, Yatra”, included in his hit songs like Alguien Robó in collaboration with Wisin and Nacho, Sutra, Por perro or Ya No Tiene Novio along with Manu and Ricky.
Sebastián Yatra is a singer and songwriter who has accumulated more than a billion streams on Spotify and more than three billion views on YouTube. He has won awards like the Latin American Music Awards and dozens of other awards, such as the Best Emerging Artist at different award ceremonies, such as Radar Latino, MTV and MIAW 2018, among others. In 2022, he was nominated for an Oscar for the Best Original Song for Dos Oruguitas, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which formed part of the soundtrack of the Disney animated film, Encanto.
The singer has obtained diamond, multi-platinum and gold awards in the United States, Spain and Latin America and has become one of the references in Latin pop music worldwide. Throughout his career, he has worked with international artists and groups, such as One Republic, Alejandro Fernández, David Bisbal, Carlos Vives or Ivete Sangalo, and more recently with the American singer, John Legend, performing a duo of Tacones Rojos in its English version.
