When you stay at the Agumar you are only a stone’s throw away from the cultural core of the city. Standing within a few metres of Madrid’s Golden Triangle, formed by the Prado, the Reina Sofía and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums, it is also close to the former monastery and current church of San Jerónimo el Real and to the Botanical Gardens.

Although it has its own private car park for those who would rather travel by car, this four-star hotel can be accessed by train or metro, since it is located very close to Atocha station. Hotel Agumar features 245 fully equipped rooms on the eight floors of a 1972 building which has been completely renovated.

After going to the major museums, you can visit many other interesting sites around the hotel, such as the Royal Tapestry Factory or the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de Atocha, and afterwards head to the Retiro Park, to rest in one of Madrid’s largest green areas. On your return, if you’re feeling hungry, the varied menu of the hotel’s restaurant awaits you: specialising in meats, paella and all sorts of rice dishes, it also offers a wide range of starters, cold meats and appetisers.
