The largest act of political activism in the LGBTI world is the main event at the Pride celebrations: the LGBTI Pride March. This march runs along one of the main roads in the city, from Atocha (Paseo del Prado, by the Botanical Garden) to Colón, to demand tolerance and equality for the LGTBI collective. 

The march is the main event at Madrid Pride and is organised by COGAM(Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual Collective of Madrid) and FELGTB (Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual Federation).
