Café de los Austrias
Information
In the middle of Plaza de Ramales, in the heart of Habsburg Madrid, you will find this beautiful café which takes its name from the area. Close to Madrid's most touristy area, with the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre and the Almudena Cathedral just a stone's throw away, the café opened in 1989 but maintains the spirit of early 20th century cafés, whose bar has presided over the space ever since.
The premises have two air-conditioned rooms, with a capacity for 90 people, and a large outdoor terrace.
Its menu consists of traditional dishes of the Castilian and Spanish gastronomy, prepared with fresh market products of the highest quality and in season. It also has a holm oak charcoal oven to prepare grilled meat and fish, as well as the cocido de Madrid.
