Madrid is set to commemorate multiple important events in 2023: from the 50th anniversary of Picasso’s death -with various exhibitions to be held over the coming months- to the centenary anniversaries of the death of Joaquín Sorolla and the birth of Lucian Freud, to what would have been the great Madrid-born sculptor Juan Muñoz’s 70th birthday. The city has also saved some space in its calendar for fashion and photography.
