A place where adults and children alike want to spend time? This is the idea behind the following establishments in Madrid, many of which have spaces especially designed for kids and even organise children’s workshops and celebrations. Meanwhile, adults can relax over a hot coffee or a refreshing bite. They are places to enjoy leisure moments together. Here are some examples:

It has a cafeteria 100% designed for families with organic products, Wi-Fi,baby changing facilities, a baby room… However, Alopeke is in reality much more, as it is a space that offers workshops, organises parties, has an eco-shop, bilingual carers-educators, bilingual camps, excursions to places like the Retiro…

  • Espacio Abierto Quinta de los Molinos The Quinta de los Molinos Palace has been turned into a space for children and young people to enjoy culture and develop their creativity. There is also a cafeteria-garden, served by students at La Quinta Cocina catering school, an urban library and the #playquinta space with table tennis, board games, comics… It is impossible to be bored!

Whilst the kids are having fun, the parents can have a coffee in the Vips cafeteria.

A children’s park with over 1,100m2 of fun with slides, climbing flowers, a volcano, mats and many more surprises… It has a restaurant area for children and adults to take a break between one activity and another or to watch the kids savouring a dessert or a pizza.

  • Mi mundo Family Place (Av. de las Nieves, 35 - Móstoles) Created by Sergio and Estela, two parents who realised the need for more places for kids with increased safety and less noise. Mi Mundo Family Place is a leisure centre designed for all the family, with different facilities where all kinds of activities are organised. It also has a restaurant area

  • Magasand (Travesía de San Mateo, 16 / Calle Columela, 4 / Calle Tomás Bretón, 52 / Calle Ayala, 28) It has four centres – one very close to the Retiro - in Madrid. Its culinary concept, ideal for a snack, breakfast or afternoon tea, focuses on healthy food, which is still tasty (try it and see). It is highly recommended for families as it has reading spaces, where we can find children’s stories.

  • La Manzana (Avenida de Rodajos, s/n) This restaurant is located in a unique environment, such as the Casa de Campo. It has become one of the main areas to the west of Madrid to taste traditional Asturian cuisine.  It offers a pleasant, relaxed and family atmosphere, which is perfect for children, with a children’s play area with giant castles and a pirate ship.
