Regina

    Information

Hotel Regina is an excellent alternative for people wanting to spend a few days in the city centre without worrying about getting around. The hotel is situated at the beginning of calle Alcalá, adjacent to Palacio de Goyeneche, the location of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando fine arts school, where teaching is combined with fine art and painting exhibitions. It is just a short walk away from the major tourist sites, although there is a metro station just in front of the building, and guests can park their cars in the hotel car park.

The hotel provides guests with a car rental service and shuttle bus to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport, as well as organizing tours around the city and day trips to other nearby cities of cultural interest. Built in 1921, the hotel has undergone several renovations over the years. The spacious rooms are equipped with satellite and pay-per-view TV, and Internet connection. There is a function room for all sorts of events, a coffee shop with large windows onto the street and à la carte restaurant which also serves daily set menus. Its specialty dish, the typical Madrid “cocido” stew, can be washed down with any of the excellent wines from the well-stocked cellar.
