Santo Mauro, a Luxury Collection Hotel
Information
This luxury hotel, part of the Marriott chain, is located in Chamberí, in a majestic 19th century building and former residence of the Duke of Santo Mauro. With a French-influenced designs similar to the Parisian palaces of that period, the hotel consists of three buildings set in a magnificent garden with century-old chestnut trees, turning it into an oasis in the heart of Madrid.
Its 49 rooms are decorated in the 19th century style, paying attention to the tiniest detail, like its public rooms: the Red Lounge reflects a pure French style; the Chinese Lounge combines all of the oriental influences; the Gin Bar offers a New York art decó style and the Duke’s former library conserves its original oak structure and has been decorated with Anglo-Saxon furniture.
The hotel’s culinary offer is divided into two main spaces: The Library Restaurant, the walls that used to house the Duke’s library now host a restaurant offering traditional cuisine, with seasonal dishes but with noble inspiration, and the lounge area, an open wine bar in the wine style (conventional and natural) in which a Mediterranean bistrot menu can also be savoured with seasonal products.
It also offers a series of experiences so that your stay is far more immersive and gratifying, such as, for example, special moments focused on wine gatherings and music, tasting of Iberian meats or a historic journey through Santo Mauro Palace.
